Possible solution for AEM wideband calibration

Possible solution for AEM wideband calibration

Post by lagos »

Lets face it, there is something wrong with the default AEM sensor configuration that is not related to a grounding issue. Just about every single person who owns this gauge reports it reading .2 afr off.

I decided to play around with some settings to try to get a more accurate calibration. I started out by simply trying out the various presets included in Tunerstudio. To my surprise the Zeitronix Linear default preset seems to be a perfect match for the AEM gauge. I varied my afr from 11.5 to 16.5 at idle, and the values between the gauge and Tunerstudio matched up perfectly (though there is a slight delay of a few milliseconds, which is most likely caused by the smoothing lag factors).

Anyone else try this? Opinions?
