VE table Y axis values

VE table Y axis values
I am new to Tuner Studio and EFI in general and have a question. My engine pulls low vacuum at idle (7-9 in) due to a long duration cam. The TS generated VE table starts at 10 kPa at the bottom and goes to 100 kPa at the top on the Y axis. At idle, the engine is in the upper left quadrant of the graph. Can I manually change the values in the Y axis to say start at 55 at the bottom and go to 100 at the top, then regenerate my VE table using these values for better tuning resolution? Or would it be better to use Alpha N tuning for this engine. Thanks!

Re: VE table Y axis values
Yes, you can change them to what ever you need them to be..
However, you do often need to to go a good bit lower than your idle vacuum as while driving at higher RPM's the engine will make more vacuum.
What inputs are you using for it to generate a table that goes down to 10 kPa though?

Re: VE table Y axis values
Thanks for the response, Phil. I looked at my VE table generation info and found that I had put in the wrong idle vacuum to begin with. I put the correct info in and regenerated the table. It now starts at 30 kPa. That leaned the tune out nicely- which it needed.
I have developed another issue. While looking at my VE table (Fuel Settings tab, Fuel VE Table 1) with the engine running, the cells that are being used by the ECM are not being highlighted. I see no indication of where on the table the engine is running (it used to). If I look at the VE table under the tab "Tune Analyze Live...", I can see where on the VE table the engine is using. Did I turn something off in Tuner Studio by accident?
My AFR gage is acting up as well- sometimes it goes to 18 despite the exhaust being obviously rich. I am going to change the O2 sensor before continuing.

Re: VE table Y axis values
There is no setting to disable the trace.
What firmware are you using?
Did it start after restarting / reloading the project in TS?

Re: VE table Y axis values
The problem started after I chose to use the ve table from Tuner Studio rather than the one in the ECM. I have recycled the power on computer and truck and restarted TS and the trace reappeared.
The firmware I am using is MS1/Extra 029y4a. This is a MS1.

I'm not sure what that means? The problem started after I chose to use the ve table from Tuner Studio rather than the one in the ECM.

Re: VE table Y axis values
he obviously has checked the custom afr table in ve live instead of the default table 1
