Ubuntu access to Commsport

Post by rustybottoms88 »

In the manual is says to add your user to the 'dialout', 'lock' and/or 'uucp' groups in order to access commsport. How do i add a user to the group? Here is a picture of the terminal when I try to connect my computer to my MS2.

Thank you I think this will fix me up. I will give it a shot when I get home this evening.

I think that the dialout group is the most important one.
I hope it fixed it!

On many recent distros user needs to be member of "lock" group as well.

The ultimate Unix weapon "sudo bash".
Always doing things the hard way, MS2 sequential w/ v1.01 mainboard, LS2 coils. 80 mile/day commuter status.
