CAN confusion

For discussion of Phil Tobin's Tuner Studio software (Only about the tuning software itself, not about how to tune or firmware features)

CAN confusion

Post by Philip Lochner »

Hi Phil

I'm playing with CAN bus for the first time - trying to run MShift through my MS-2.

Based on Lance's comments here http://www.msgpio.com/forums/viewtopic. ... 5481#p5477 it seems TS also gets confused a bit (ie not just me  )
Kind regards
Philip

Jean has looked into this before. The problem was the MShift ini file not using the correct command to fetch the serial signature. TunerStudio is just doing what it is told.

Consider using the Microsquirt trans firmware as it doesn't have this problem.

Thanks James, would this have an impact on my physical build of the MShift hardware?
Kind regards

The firmware is intended to use the same i/o pins as the MShift instructions - provided your trans is on the supported list. Feel free to download the firmware and manuals.
