Hi everyone,
I am a beginner in Megasquirt.
So, working on a project based on MS3/Extra to fire up a Mitsubishi 6G74 twin cams engine.
Decided to use engine crank and cam trigger wheels and sensors for minimum modifications.
But I have faced with problem on restoring burnt ignition setting after a power off.
Sometime (with no specific intervals or reason),Tuner Studio displays an error for burning changes.
So, no other way to powering off the ECU.
After power on, it lost saved setting (ignition timing) and assumes a wrong TDC.
What is going wrong? What should I do to resolve this?
Versions:
MS3/Extra firmware 1.4.
Tuner studio: 2.6.19

Shervin.

Re: Tunerstadio
At what point are you getting the burn error msg? When closing a dialog or clicking burn? Loading an msq?
Was the unit powered off before the error?
Have you been using Test mode?
Is it just ignition settings?

Hi LT401Vette,
Let me inform you that mentioned problem got solved unconsciously and never happened again (till now).
Of course Me and my friend did many changes thereafter. I think, it may not related to MS itself.
By the way, to respond your kind questions:
We had experienced an error after clicking burn. I received an error dialog box that says the device (ECU) is not connected or not responding.
Surely the ECU was powered on for changes we did in. But, after receiving errors, no more communication exist between laptop and ECU.
So I pushed to re_power the unit. then founded trigger angle offset parameter got lost completely and backed to number far from TDC.
Because I was busy with ignition timing option, it happened several times after ignition settings affected.
Regards,
Shervin.
