Bluetooth Dongle Troubles

Post by ugp »

Hi,

Firstly, I'm unsure if this is the right section to post about the bluetooth adapters in, can't find anything more suitable.

The issue I'm having is that my device won't stay connected to the dongle. It's visible, pairs and starts to sync with the ecu, before disconnecting and doing it all over again. I've tried the connection with a Samsung galaxy tab 2 and also my samsung s4 phone with shadowdash installed.

Is there anything I'm missing here?

Youtube clip below.

Thanks

What dongle are you using? Is it the EFI Analytics one?

After the Bluetooth adapter connects to Shadow Dash and starts trying to come on line what are the error messages that you are getting when it disconnects and has to start over?

Also do you have the little switch on the top of the Bluetooth adapter in the correct position, switch in the position closest to the antenna ?

Hi

Switch is in the right position (won't connect in the other mode). I don't get an error message other than on the laptop it sits on connecting. The phone sits on downloading definitions and the tablet connects, goes online for a split second, then disconnects and starts over.

Thanks

Please try the following. Delete the file in your TunerStudioProjects folder named TunerStudioAppDebug.txt then open up TunerStudio and setup to connect to your ECU over Bluetooth, Once everything is setup go under the Communications tab and turn on "Comm Debug Log" then let TunerStudio try and connect a few times. After a few connection attempts have been made turn "Comm Debug Log" off. Now there will be a new TunerStudioAppDebug.txt file in your TunerStudioProjects folder please send that to me at support@efianalytics.com and I will take a look.

What firmware are you using?

I want to make sure the ini file for it in on the server so Shadow Dash can get it if needed.

If that is the 1.4 beta2 firmware, it was not on the server.

That worked, thanks.

Is the firmware on the server for the new beta 3?

Thanks
