TS 3.0x not working on macbook

Post by JoseMiguel »

Hi phil

I have been using the TS beta with the ultra registration without issues. As I have said before, far superior software than the older TS.

Since the official 3 is already out, I decided to upgrade but when I run it, nothing, absolutely nothing happens. The program tries to boot and dies instantly, no errors reported. Nothing. I reinstalled the old beta and works flawlessly.

Any way to diagnose what could be happening?

Thanks for your help.

I can confirm it works on my macbook, but I upgraded from an older beta and didn't install using the latest package.

No problem for me either upgrading from 2.9.x to 3.0.x now (just installed another update yesterday in fact).

I thought I had that problem too, but then I realized I just needed to delete the old shortcut icon and create a new one. (The old application was called "TunerStudio MS" whereas the new application is called "TunerStudio_MS" (with underscore symbol instead if a blank space in the file name.)

Yes, as stated above, download the new app.

If you have the old OS X TS App and do an auto update, it breaks as the old app use the Apple JRE which was discontinued at 1.6. When Oracle took over the OS X JRE, some key JRE files moved.

The new TS OSX App has a bundled JRE.
