Connection issues with TSv3
Last night I updated my TS for V3 spec. It seems it download it perfect, but when I try to connect with my CPU thru bluetooth it seems that I have some comunication issue, because it starts to read the CPU settings, but when it finished, it starts to go OffLine, On Line , OffLine, Online till it stops reading. As I only use his laptop for car setup, it' s an old Windows XP version, and my firmware is a MS/Extra hr-10g. In older TS version ( I´m registered inTS) I didn´t have any issue , for tree years. Can someone have some explanation for this issue ? I do really app reciate some idea fo fix that . Thank you

Re: Connection issues with TSv3
Switch to Bluetooth Direct in Communications Settings.
That works much better. than Bluetooth over Virtual Comms
The timings for normal comms are more aggressive now for faster connecting/reconnecting. For Bluetooth there were many artificial waits that have been removed as there is now a real Bluetooth Option.

Re: Connection issues with TSv3
Thanks for your suggestion. I'd tried but it didn't work . I think it can be some problem about compatibility between MSV3 and my BT device. It is a HC-06 with 9600 baud speed without parity. Do you report some troubles with this BT device ? Thank you.

Please go to your TunerStudioProjects folder and delete or rename your tunerStudioAppDebug.txt file while TunerStudio is closed. Now open up your project in TunerStudio then press Ctrl + p to open your project properties and double check that the correct INI file or firmware is selected. Next go under the communications tab and click on Comm Debug Log, now try to connect to your ECU. After you have made a connection attempt please turn of Comm Debug Log then email me a copy of the new TunerStudioAppDebug.txt file so I can take a look.
Please email the file to support@efianalytics.com and include a link to this forum post for reference please.

I'm sorry for the delayed response, I was out of town.nogbr wrote:Thanks for your suggestion. I'd tried but it didn't work . So, you did try Bluetooth Direct in connection settings with the same result?

Re: Connection issues with TSv3
Hi Phil, yes I'd tried the BT direct connection, but it didn't work too. So I'd made the debug and sent it to Brian last night.Let's see if he will solve this problem. Thank you !!
Re: Connection issues with TSv3
I `m still with trouble trying to connect my PC with ECU with new version V3. The most curious thing is that the connection done by cell phone MSdroid works perfectly ! The problem seems the comunication between PC BT and the ECU. The ECU didn't reconize PCBT even the password. Any suggestions ?

Re: Connection issues with TSv3
Sorry about the delay, I have responded to your email.
I might have to look around at home for my HC-06 and do some testing to get to the bottom of this.

Re: Connection issues with TSv3
Hi, What was the solution in the end?
Was this resolved?
Sounds like the HC-06 needed to be switched to 115200 Baud for MS2 and MS3 instead of 9600 baud for MS1.

Re: Connection issues with TSv3
That may have been the case. I looked around and it turned out that I had purchased 1 HC-06 but could not get the baud rate to change so I did not bother with it and switch to using 2 HC-05 which would allow the settings to be changed for my project but I have never used it with my MegaSquirt installs because I use the Bluetooth adapters that we sell.'
It has been so long I honestly do not remember how it was solved, with any luck nogbr will chime in. I do not remember his email address from this post either or I would look up our emails to give you an answer.
