Firmware Update Utility

Post by NigeT »

Should this update the ms3.ini (for MS3)?

Thanks.

If you have a project open it will update the ini for that project and reload your tune.

If no project is open, then it does not.

Thanks Phil. The project was open, the option to load / update the tune was offered and taken. It did not seem that the ms3.ini was updated, but maybe it is stored in multiple locations and I missed the one that was updated?

Where did you have the new S19?

For it to find the new ini, it needs to be in the same directory or zip file that the S19 is in.

I selected just the zip file. Does it get installed to projectConfig/mainController.ini. It seems to be binary identical, in which case it is just my misunderstanding about how it all works. Thanks.

All good then, thank you. Is there a way to do a clean install of TunerStudio and then import only the necessary project files? I suspect mine has perhaps had a few files manually copied to the wrong names / locations (harmless but unnecessary additional files).

Other than the files in the installation folder, TS will have files in the dir:
[UserHome]/.efiAnalytics/TunerStudio/
and the files:
[UserHome]/.efiAnalytics/tsUser.properties
[UserHome]/.efiAnalytics/tsMS.reg

Thanks Phil, I think my problems are mostly I the user data project directories under documents on Windonts, but I think I've cleaned it up now.
