DIY-PNP MS2 Old Firmware issue

DIY-PNP MS2 Old Firmware issue

Post by Vince-R »

The ECU is a DIY PNP MS2 - built & installed during the summer of 2010 - the current tune is good & working in a 1992 1.6 Miata.

The car was off the road for a long period, resulting in no connection between that of Tunerstudio & the ECU for around 4.5 years. The originating Laptop containing Tunerstudio & various tunes is dead, so I recently reinstalled Tunerstudio on a new Laptop, including a driver for the USB - RS-232, but hit an issue as I do not know which ini file to use when requested.

To reiterate, I know where the ini files are situated, but need to know which one to go with.....I'm sure it's something simple, but I really don't want to screw the only remaining (not backed up) tune that currently resides on the ECU. I need to get a connection before I can upgrade, but I don't see on option in way of older firmware versions that allows for this & all I've discovered so far (through 2-day extensive searches) is that the firmware on my ECU is obsolete & may even have been associated with MegaTune, also obsolete.

Assistance with this issue would be greatly received.

If you can get internet access to your laptop, it will find that ini..

If not, here it is.
