TS 3.0.12 Update Problem

Update detected, downloads, installs. Version still at 3.0.10.
Repeat...same, over & over.
Download full install, run, now at 3.0.12.
Tried on 2 different computers, same result.

That's good to know as I was going to do same this weekend. Think I'll wait until they get the new update sorted now.

Updated to 3.0.12 now. I had to download it separately and install it fresh.

Blown88GT - What edition TS are you using? (MS or MS Ultra). I checked and all the updates look to be correct.

There is error checking and retry logic in the auto update logic in 3.0.10.08 and up. However, that won't work unless you are already on 3.0.10.08 or up. This is the 1st stable release with the error handling.

With this error handling if it fails to download a file, it will not update the file and brick your TS install like in the past. It will retry file downloads 3 times before giving up.

TS-MS registered on 3 & TS-MS Lite on 2, no Ultras
3.0.10 on all
No failures on downloading file update.
TS Install not bricked.
It's probably tried more than 3 times.
On 1 machine with Lite still at 3.0.10
I now select "Check for Update", then "Complete Update" or "Complete Later".
On reload, it's still at 3.0.10.

Uninstalled 3.0.10, reinstalled 3.0.10, same result.

Also not updating.
Auto update from 3.0.10 (registered version) to 3.0.12 seems to work but version stays on 3.0.10.

Same issue not updating.
Linux machine, TS 3.0.10 registered version. Auto update appears to download and install, but when TS restarts its still 3.0.10.

Downloaded and replaced files to get to version 3.0.12

Same thing here. Stayed at .10. It seems that the update process happens must faster than I remember. Only takes about a couple of seconds. Tried it a couple of times and same result.

All I can think of is that the download verification is failing, perhaps falsely?
I'm not sure why it would for some and not for most though..

Perhaps a looks at a TunerStudioAppDebug.txt

Here is a debug log from my Windows 10 machine while trying to do the automatic update. Didn't see anything too interesting though. I have not manually updated the machine in case you need any other tests.

Just to add, I tried updating a few days ago after reading this thread, and it's still .10 on my PC.

I do not get a prompt at start up like I have in the past, if that makes a difference. I do have check for updates on.

I have an update problem, too, but it seems to be different. The update fails with "Internal error: ./config.zip.temp.partial (Permission denied)".

This is on a Macbook pro running sierra.
