Detection problems (MS2/Extra)

Subject: Re:connection issues
I got my controller the other day and have just now started to get it to connect. Maybe you can help? I get a message saying " ECU configuration required, please provide a valid config file".
I do not a msq because I can't connect and there are none on my system.
While using the detect to connect I notice that it starts with 115200 baud then goes to 9600. I have also used port check and it opens com3 (is the port I've always used, have also tried other ports with the same results) it opens com 3 at 115200 and says no connection and goes to 9600 and says no connection, 1 valid port found" I have gone into device mngr to check the setting are correct 115200 com port 3, have also checked TS for com 3 and its correct. The last msg I got was as follows

" Your installation of tuner studio does not have a configuration to support the firmware found. Required Serial Signiture MS2Extra Rel 2.0.0 How ever this file is available on EFI Analytics servers. Would you like TunerStudio to download the file for you? I elected not to download because I know I have 3.4.2 firmware. I have uninstalled & reinstalled Tuner Syidio to no avail, BUT I do get the last msq project ford1.1 to keep coming up in recent projects. this project is I now believe is the source of my problems maybe. I'm using Jimstem for power only to get a connection. got any ideas on how to fix this?

additional info: can anybody analyze this? I have no idea what it means, it is a debug log that just saved itself on my computer
