Tunes too Old to Open ?HELP?

Tunes too Old to Open ?HELP?

Post by sentein »

Okay found old MS1 tunes that i really really need. They are from 2008. I was opening them in an older version of TS for the last hour. I did the latest update due to being tired of seeing the pop up every time i loaded a tune. Now that i am up to date there is an error and none of these files will open. What happened? I have a registered version of TS so i want to use it. But if i cannot get these to open i will be forced to use Megatune which in the long run does me no good. How can i fix this?

Never mind, if i select an existing project example all of these tunes will load. TS cannot create a temp project, I believe this is due to the firmware in these files not having a config page originally. By config page i mean the page that you can change your F* to C* and speed density to Alpha N with wide band and MAP options as well. All the settings set when you create a new Project in TS.

It sounds like because you hadn't opened a Project yet, TS was trying to create the temp project somewhere that it wasn't allowed when you double clicked the msq.

It does look like it is erroring out when loading old MegaTune msq's without a project open.

It is due to the No O2 sensor being selected by default in the old MS1 Extra. The ini defines this as an error condition to abort:

Code: Select all

#elif ZEITRONIX_NON_LINEAR
      afrBins1   = array,  U08,      0,  [8x8],  "Volts",      0.0196,      0,    0.0,     5.0,     2
#else
; Should never get here but just incase put message on screen
  #error "No O2 sensor configuration selected; Youll need to fix the settings.ini.\n\nMegaTune terminating."
  #exit ; Terminate MT
#endif
I believe this used to be handled some how many years ago.
