Using TS w/1 tune between OSX and PC, different dash?

As I'm working towards installing a MS3 in my car, I've started playing around with TS.
I've been alternating a single tune for my car between a Win-tablet and my home Mac (OSX 10.11.6). The Win-tablet is, at times, connected to the MS3, while the Mac computer is not/never.
I usually copy the tune's entire folder from one device to the other.

I noticed when loading a tune on the Mac, the dashboard-layout is different than what I had made/changed on the Windows-tablet.
On both devices TS is the latest most recent version.

Seems that the dash-settings aren't being loaded on the Mac-version of TS, if there's no connection?

I use dropbox to share a tune between my laptop and desktop. For awhile it was a PC laptop (even though now it is not).

I have a "sync folder" which is where my tune files live. When I am on the road with my laptop it makes modifications. When I pull in the garage I let my laptop connect to the home wireless network for a few minutes to upload any changed files. When I get up to my 27" iMac my tune is ready for me waiting.

I have never noticed any issues with different dashes, but then I use a custom dash.

I will start to use a similar Dropbox-like setup soon, but I believe the issue is gone between the two systems.
Probably also has to do something with when/how the dashlayout is drawn in TS.

I've started making a custom dash myself as well. But I also upgraded to TS MS Ultra in the mean time.

In TunerStudio MS Lite!, the dashboard is generated each time on project open, then the gauge selections are set to any previous gauge selection. Gauge selections won't travel between computers.
Once you put in your registration key, then the dashboards will follow to the new computer.
