Increasing trace time...

Hello Phil

I was wondering: is it possible to change the time that the program keeps the trail on the tables?

(by trail, I mean the tail that appears behind the cursor that shows where the car has "stepped" on the current table)

What I mean is, I would like to have a longer trail. Is that possible?

Thanks for your time!

Right click on the table, select "History Trace Length (#)"

Then type the number you like.
That number represents the number of reads to be represented.

My traces are real short that hover in four cells. Does increasing the number increase the length? When I hover over the cells a number comes up (40). Is this where it's set at?

Yes and yes.,

That is the number of runtime reads that will be represented on your table.
How far back that goes will depend greatly on your Data Rate.

if your data rate is set to 15, the default 40 will show the past 2.66 seconds. Change it to 400 and you would have 26.6 seconds.
If you have a data rate of 80 reads/sec, then only .5 seconds with 40 or 5 seconds with 400.

High number / long trace time can be handy, but make the table hard to read.
