Allow TPS calibration in offline mode

For discussion of Phil Tobin's Tuner Studio software (Only about the tuning software itself, not about how to tune or firmware features)

Allow TPS calibration in offline mode

Post by Reverant »

Required for people doing remote tuning. I get this request quite a lot.

Thank you!

For MS1 it is possible, but for MS2 and MS3, the calibration is simply 2 set ADC values in the tune data.

You can change them if you like, but what good would that do and why? They wouldn't change anything until you are online again.

If I edit an .msq manually with a text editor (edit tpsMin and tpsMax) and send the msq to a customer through email, won't loading the manually edited msq in TS update the TPS calibration when he goes online?

That's the goal - I have customers doing remote tuning (tuning through email - not in realtime through say, TeamViewer) that want to correct the TPS calibration by doing a recalibration without actually being connected to TS at that time, by manually entering TPS ADC values in the boxes rather than hit the "Get current" buttons.

Easy enough to make it take the setting.
