Add new channel wizard issue Fuel pressure
Hello, I am trying to add a new channel for a fuel pressure sensor coming in on ADC7. I tried using the "Add channel wizard" . I selected AD7 as the input and named it "Fuel pressure" in the second box. I entered the numerical paramaters below, But when I hit the next button, Error window comes up "Output name cannot contain special characters". ?

Try FuelPressure or Fuel_Pressure
I think the <space> counts as special.

Re: Add new channel wizard issue
So I bought the upgrade to TS so that I could have a custom gauge (Fuel pressure) to display the readings from a sensor on ADC7. Works good when running tunerstudio.
But when I look at the logs with megalogviewer, The field is listed as ADC7 and looks like the raw bitcount. Do I have to buy something else to get is to display as Pressure units there ?

The ADc7 field will still be logged as it was in raw ADC
You need to add a Data Log Field also to log the new OutputChannel you set up. If you added the OutputChannel in the wizard, there is an option to do this in the wizard.
Otherwise you can add them one at a time in the Custom Channel Editor with TunerStudio MS Ultra.
- Open the "Custom Channel Editor" under the tools menu
- In the tree on the left, click on "Data Log Field"
- Click the New button in the top left corner
- Set the name that you would like it to have in the data log.
- For OutputChannel, select the OutputChannel that you made for your Gauge, not adc7. Your OutputChannel is the one that takes care of the math for conversion
- Set the number of digits / decimal place you want it to log
- Click Ok
Now all future logs will have the gauge value.
