Ford 2W IAC.
the valve has to open against the spring or shut against the spring. What if you have no spring?? Thought I had a bad (new) unit but the IAC on my working
Ford van also has no spring. Any info appreciated.

Re: Ford 2W IAC.
From what I can see of it, that looks like a standard Ford idle valve.

Return spring is not visible on all of my Ford IAB's.
I've bench tested many of these. Spring is not that strong. You can easily blow through from inlet to outlet. Solenoid ON compresses the spring. Connect it directly to the car battery & watch it work. Just touch it, don't leave it on; it's not designed for 100% duty cycle.
TS setting
Valve Mode - Normal, 0% = off
Valve Frequency - 124Hz
