So Microsoft broke my laptop with another one of their shitty patches update whatever you call it...
Splash screen opens for 2 seconds gets to the language loading then closes tried the uninstall even
the trick from another post still no joy..
still works on my desk top but not my tuning laptop..

I came to post that unfortunately this seems to be not just you or not just me as I am having the same issues with the newest windows update and TS.

Hopefully there will be a fix.

We have had a couple people report this, and have found reports of this error in the JRE with Windows 1703 up, but have not been able to reproduce it yet.

One thing I would be quite interested in seeing if this works...

In windows File Explorer, find the setting "Hide Extensions for know file types" and un-check that.
This is now also shown as "File name extensions" as a main option instead of digging... (Finally Microsoft isn't going to force this dumb option?)
As odd as it seems, we have reason to believe that is related to the problem.

Ok, we think we have this pinpointed down...

This happens on Windows Creator edition if:
1) There is a Folder "GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}", this is created by some applications in the Gaming world
2) Your TunerStudio Look & Feel is set to Windows (this is the default on Windows)
3) You are on Windows 10 winver 1703

If you delete the "GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}" folder, TS should work again...

Or update to the latest beta 3.0.27, this has a work around in it that _should_ do the trick.

Please confirm that 3.0.27 does fix it.

I found another log file that said java had a problem with msvcdr100.dll I think not sure right now will post the log file later... my work around was just to roll back windows to pre update works fine now....

Looks like that fixed the issue.

I removed the god mode folder and Tunerstuido loaded up just fine.
