New Feature - Buttons on screen

For discussion of Phil Tobin's Tuner Studio software (Only about the tuning software itself, not about how to tune or firmware features)

New Feature - Buttons on screen

Post by nd_mustang »

I would like the ability to add “buttons” on the window that can be assigned to actions; i.e. “Load Tune 1”, “Load Tune 2”, so when I pull up in a no-prep race I can change tunes instantly based on the pass that just happened in front of me. Or maybe a button that says “Boost Max 10psi” and another that is “Boost Max 20psi” and those will load tunes that change the max boost. Make sense? I know the way you describe works – I’ve used it – but it’s hard to do that with a 8” screen on a 1500 hp vehicle that is shaking hard just idling.

Interesting idea, but it's one that would be implemented on the TunerStudio side. You'll want to post this thread to the TunerStudio section of the forum.

There are single click and double click actions that can be defined for any dashboard component. This let's gauges and indicators act like buttons.

Currently you can set the actions to things like:
Star Logging
Stop Logging
Toggle Logging
Open a settings dialog
Send a Controller Command

It sounds like you need a load tune action. Preferably where you can set it to a specific predefined file.
