Composite logs are captured much to fast to read in a continuous stream like a normal data log, so they are processed in batch.

The firmware will write the raw data to a chunk of RAM, when that ram is full, logging is paused and TS is notified to read it. The firmware will then start logging to that RAM again.

TS puts a MARK between each read so you can tell that is where there is a discontinuity in the data.
