Number of teeth / Cylinders conflict

Post by BQMS2 »

Hello everybody,

My name is Bas and I'm new to the Megasquirt system.
I got a megasquirt 2 with PCB 3.57 set up on a small 1 cylinder engine. I'm converting the engine from carburated to injection.

At this point most sensors and actuators are working. I'm starting to understand the tunerstudio software by now.
The problem I can't solve on my own is the error message that looks like this when is set the number of cylinders to (1):

However if i set the number of cylinders on for example 2,4 or 6 the error goes away, i can pick up an RPM and it even fires the injector when I kickstart the engine. (later on this will have an electric starter motor).

I am using a 36-1 toothed wheel (advised for small engines and high rpm engines) combined with a hall sensor.

Before I posted I tried to find someone with the same problem. I found somebody but his problem was solved by setting the MAP sample to the right settings. For me that didn't work.
Here are my Engine settings, ignition settings and MAP sample settings:

I hope you can help me out, if you need any other information just let me know.

Best regards,

Bas
