Re-establishing Communications W/O Losing Tune In ECU

Post by Scottie-GNZ »

Apologize if this is not the correct forum. Just wasn't sure.

Put together a MS3X setup (240Z/RB25) for a buddy a couple of years ago and his laptop just died and he has no backup. He has downloaded TS on the new laptop and wants me to help establish communications with the MS3X. Is there a specific procedure I should follow to ensure that the tune in the MS3X does not get wiped out so I can upload it to the laptop? Would like not to have to build another tune from scratch.

Thanks,
Scottie

- Plug into the MS3
- Power it on
- Start TunerStudio
- Click Create New Project
- Click "Detect"

TS should find the MS3, then click through the rest of the new project wizard.
Once done, TS will open the new project and read the tune from the MS3.

Thanks, Phil. Don't know why, but I was thinking creating a new project would create and download a default CurrentTune.msq. Thanks again.
