Comparing Tunes

Hi,

How do I know when comparing tune file versions (or restore points) exactly what I'm looking at? In many cases the table names seem to be missing.

How do I selectively merge tune settings. Sometimes I want to back out changes that I have made, being able to diff against a previous tune and merge in the individual settings and table cells that I need to revert would be extremely useful. I have never used it to revert the whole tune.

Thanks,
Nigel.

There was a bug where table names were not displayed. This has been fixed in the beta.

Selection of a subset of settings to load is not support, but on the todo list.
I might just go down that path.. It has been on the list for a long time, just buried in the others piles.

Thanks, glad I wasn't imagining the missing names... I'm currently exporting tables and trying to merge them with BeyondCompare but the formatting does not make this so easy, but worse than that many of the smaller tables cannot be exported and you can only get .msqpart (?) exports.

Why can't the smaller tables be exported?

an msqpart is the dialog settings, so it contains all settings in that dialog including tables, curves and individual settings. It will not have any settings other than what is in that dialog.

Agreed, but I could not see an option to just export the table, unlike say for the VE and AFR tables.

All 2D tables can be exported. What ones are you not able?
Or are you referring to a 1D table / Curve?

Ok, Curves only have Dialog settings for import / export.

That wouldn't be so hard to diff if they didn't include all the user comments...
