I have an issue where every time I plug into my MS3 into my Windows 10 Lenovo after a sleep, reboot, etc it will not autodetect where my USB-Serial port is.
I have to go into Settings > Communication > Detect for it to work, but it works every time. Any suggestions on how I can get it to store that configuration?
On the Facebook group I was told to try the USB settings while on battery, that did not seem to fix the issue.

Does either of the following bring it back on line?
CTRL+W
or uncheck
File --> Work Offline

Is the serial port name correct in that screenshot? That looks like a Mac/Unix port name?
On my windows installs I always see a port name like COM1 .

CTRL+W did nothing for some reason, but File > Work Offline brought it right online!

Good catch. I took the ScreenShot from my MacBook, here it is talking to the ECU via Windows10jsmcortina wrote:Is the serial port name correct in that screenshot? That looks like a Mac/Unix port name?

Here is my guess..
The comms thread normally experiences exceptions attempting to connect when the box isn't there, these will just be timeouts and it ignores them, waits and tries again.
Some other exceptions will cause the comms thread to give up.
When putting it to sleep, then waking it. Perhaps it is trying before something has initialized and causing a higher severity exception.
Can you send us an App Debug package right after waking and experiencing this.
Go under the Help menu to generate one
