I installed v1.6.01 from v1.5.0 per this thread (http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewtopic ... 22&t=67927) and now it keeps asking me to enter registration.
Information is entered and the message box indicating that registration successful and ShadowDash will exit now & upon restart registration will be there. But... after restarts, it asks for registration again.

Please help.

So it never leaves demo mode?

This is registered through EFI Analytics, not Google play, correct?

Can you send us your App Debug:

- Swipe down
- touch the menu button in the top right
- touch File
- touch Advanced
- touch Share App Debug

It will put your appDebug.txt in an email to us.

FWIW....... I, just today, updated to 1.6.01 without any such issue.........

Hi Phil,
When I touch the File menu, I don't see Advanced. There's only: Log File Manager, Load/Save/Share Tune, Load/Reset/Share Dash, Share Project or Load Customer ini.

However, I ended up de-installing MS Dash then install it again. Now I have v1.6.01 and it never asked me to enter registration again (including first time after re-install) and my previously installed dashes are still there so as the logs.

So I suspect the problem I saw only happens when upgrading from v1.5.0?

FWIW once more........ As I stated above, I had no problem with the upgrade.......

Yeah, with SD it shouldn't matter what you upgrade from. It isn't like the PC apps where auto update applies deltas, with Shadow Dash it just downloads a new apk and installs it.

Look for a:
File --> Share Project

I'm stuck into Demo mode following upgrading to 1.6.01. Worked on my tablet but not on the Droid head unit I have installed in the car. I hate to uninstall my SD version and start from scratch in case I lose all my personal settings. Might just try and install again as being in Demo mode I keep getting reminders to register which for some reason causes a blip in my ignition system.

After I un-installed SD and re-install as New, it did retain my dashes and previous data log, though YMMV.

Phil, do you mean to click on File->Share Project then Advanced will appear? Now that I have 1.6.01 not sure if I'll be able to re-produce it.

Are you using the google play version or EFIA one?

If you uninstall and reinstall, you will loose your preferences, but not your project stuff (dashboards, data logs, ini files, etc.)

I used google play version to upload.

OK will do except I actually bought 2 versions because I had problems before and doubt if you want to call me back as large time zone difference (NZ time).

When I get a chance and have Wifi connection to car I'll try a couple of things first.

Downloaded new version from EFI site and in order to use I had to submit name and registration key. I don’t have the key so email sent to you.

Have activated the new economy gauge to read l/100km. Kind of strange to set the gauge limits though as low critical and high values are in reality reversed. Hardly want a red warning if I'm getting good gas milage!

Have not tested yet but want to use for economy driving when on the road. Like to have all my gauges with correct limits so can quickly see the colour change rather than trying to read value while driving.

Was doing some additional work with installing an Android tyre pressure monitoring system on my HU. During the install SD asked if I should download lasted 1.06.02 version. Sure why not I thought..... 2 hrs later I cannot get SD to run or even recognise my existence. Yes it will log into EFI but anytime I try and register, use existing license or even Buy App it ignores my input. Waited a day and just tried again with same result. Very Frustrating.

Am I the only one who is having problems here?

I decided to visit google play store and view the latest SD program. Seems latest version is 1.6.03 where I recall upgrade options were for 1.6.02. Wonder if there is a bug in previous version causing an issue. Should I uninstall and reinstall again?

I’ve asked this before but just want to make sure current gauge settings are saved in file. I’ve kept it backed up during previous upgrades.

ShadowDash is sold on Google Play and through our the http://www.efianalytics.com website (You get a registration key). We distribute two different versions of the app to support the different payment mechanisms.

Users need to make sure to download/install the appropriate version of the app or they will be unable to activate the paid features.

Google users need to use the Play store download. The app will automatically activate paid features associated with that play store accunt.

Registry key users need to download the app from our download section: http://www.tunerstudio.com/index.php/downloads. The app will prompt you to enter your registration information on startup.

SD prompted me to auto update which I did. Never got asked for register key and it got stuck in demo mode. I believe I have bought my APP through Google Play but have done this twice. When in Google and trying to open new version it states I’m an invalid user without asking for any additional information such as Rego Key (which I have). Only other option is uninstall which is probably my next option. See the dilemma?

As I have a Rego key I went into EFI link above to download new version which is already installed on my HU. Message came back it was unavailable from EFI site. Decided to roll back and install the 1.6.01 beta version which it did but failed to open. Still stuck in demo mode and connection to controller is intermittent. Help please!
