Upgrade on MacOS not working

For discussion of Phil Tobin's Tuner Studio software (Only about the tuning software itself, not about how to tune or firmware features)

Upgrade on MacOS not working

Post by patrickbrown »

I have TunerStudio 3.0.1 on a Macbook Pro with MacOS 10.13.2. When launching, the app will check for newer versions. I'm prompted to complete upgrade but the upgrade fails at about 25% through the download. I can stop the app and launch again. If I choose not to upgrade on startup but instead select the Check for Update option from help, I get the same results. The version the app is trying to upgrade to is 3.0.28.

Is there a fix for this?

Thanks,

Patrick

Hi Patrick,

I am happy to help you troubleshoot this issue. Please answer the following questions:

What error message are you getting?

Do you have a reliable internet connection?

Do you have disk space available?

How many times have you tried to download the update?

I was away for the holidays and am just getting back to this. I was able to get the download to work. I think I have an issue with my firewall. I'll check it's logs.

No error message. The download just stops at 24%.

Ordinarily I would say yes. I've had an issue downloading some PDF files from the Internet to my iPad very recently. I just connected my laptop to my iPhone's hotspot feature and was able to get the complete download.

Yes,I have plenty of available disk space.

I've lost count. Many many times.

Thanks for the help.
