Got a lot on my plate, but I hope to have it up and running relatively soon.

Just a note that I am working towards a 0021 release perhaps next week.

Presently I've re-arranged the configuration data to support up-shift and down-shift curves and allow space for more gears. I've also changed the outpc. data to use the same scalings as MS2/MS3 to keep things more standard.

I'm hoping to add first drafts of some of the additional transmission applications that have been mentioned here.

Not sure if it has been suggested before, but can you add an option to select the minimum gear for torque converter lockup? The documention I have for the toyota gearbox suggests it uses lock up in all gears except 1st as long as the other parameters are met.

Thanks
Daniel.

James,

Nice to see interest again in the trans code. I've been running mine now for years now for the most part without issue.

Couple of questions.

1) I modified the code I'm running to support the 595hz 4L80e Pressure control solenoid. Will the new release support both GM 4l80E pressure control solenoids? 297hz(Early) and 595hz(Late)

2)Pressure control tuning resolution is somewhat poor. I never really got a good Idea of how to improve things.

Seems the working duty cycle is 0-60% . I would have to revisit my notes If this is something you are interested.
I added a pressure sensor so I could log this and did some playing around in this area. My brain seems to be failing me at the moment. Been a rough day.

3) I also looked into a single table for pressure control vs load instead of individual gear tables for pressure. I spent some time smoothing my shifts out on light throttle with what seemed to be issues jumping between pressure tables. Mixed ideas on this one. Thoughts??

4) I also attempted a dual table version. My application is a tow vehicle. I tried to add a tow/haul mode but ran into some memory issues I was unable to solve. Honestly that kind of issue is above my pay grade. Thought it would be nice to be able to hold a gear a little longer at times. I had it triggered by polling the MS3 and when I selected a different VE table I had hoped for a different shift table.

Just my thoughts.

Yes, added an option for that.

Perhaps it needs a diode across the solenoid in the same way that idle valves do?

I added that as an option.

Interesting idea. I've not done anything on this yes.

Is this same code running on the microsquirt as well as the gpio board?
