Post by Raymond_B »

Who do you guys use for PCB manufacture? Like low quantity/proto stuff? Was looking at these guys, they have a super cheap first order special https://www.pcbnet.com/Quotes/Board?cpn=1

That's a pretty good deal! Unfortunately, after that the price goes up ...

I like these guys - the quality is good, the price is astonishing, and the delivery lead time has to be accounted for.

I've been using http://oshpark.com/ for awhile now, very impressed with their quality, price, speed, and ease of use.

Thanks all, I ended up using http://www.pcbcart.com/ my order should be here today via DHL. Total for 5 boards including shipping was 101.26. The boards were 5.5" x 2.2" double layer, 2oz copper, and .079" thick. They were great with communications and very helpful, I'll let you know quality when I get home.

Boards came in today, they look good. I received 7 instead of 5, no arguments there :)

Man the pics make those traces look close, but I set a 10 mil trace to trace limit. I was calculating voltages of <15V and using this as a guide http://www.smps.us/pcbtracespacing.html

I have used pcbcart for a lot of prototyping at work, never had a problem with neither quality nor lead times.

Got it in the truck and tested, everything works woot! Connected to it via Bluetooth with no problems and TS showed everything looking good. MS is sending proper VREF through the harness, calibrated the ACT and ECT and they read ambient temp set them in the sun and watched the temp rise, batt voltage looked good, etc, etc. I need to connect a TPS to calibrate it and make sure the temp readings are correct, but this was just a quick test to make sure board and harness connections are all solid. Got the Microsquirt in last week so I need to get it wired up and CAN connected.

yay :)

Oh I meant to add, the loose wire in the pic above is going to be connected to my CE light.
