Looking to get thoughts and experiences using it. I am pretty much out of inputs to my MS3/3x so I am looking at setting up a cased Microsquirt V3 for this.
Would the two VSS inputs used in traction control be considered "time-critical inputs"? I would think yes, but I just want to be sure. If so then I can move them back to the MS3/3x once the other external inputs are moved to the IO-box. Just trying to work out the wiring beforehand.

I don't have any numbers. The website says that there have been 1200 downloads of the firmware, but perhaps that's just robots clicking 'download' all day.

I'm tidying things on my drag/street car and have a micro installed just for an I/O box. I bet in about a month I'll have it wired in
Volvo 940, 2jzge, MS3Pro, daily
240Z, 2JZ, MS3Pro boost control

Thanks guys, as soon as I get the engine running I'll be looking in to getting mine going.

Would a TinyIOx do it for you?

I have my fuel pressure, oil pressure, launch rpm, and traction control slip % sent over the TinyIOx.

Sure, what is your experience with it? Any challenges setting it up? Wiring wise or anything else?Laminar wrote:Would a TinyIOx do it for you?

Re: How many are using Microsquirt-IO box?
Using 0-5V inputs requires building one of these circuits per input:
I've never designed or laid out a circuit before but I managed to squeeze 6 of them in the proto area:
I took power and ground off of the MS, then connected CANH and CANL to the MS.
Configuration was a bit of a pain because CAN stuff has to be enabled in several different locations in TS. It took me several tries to get it talking, and I wish I'd actually recorded each step. But now that it's working I'm able to assign the channels to Generic Sensor Inputs and use them for standard MS functions.
