Microsquirt-IO box - NB sensor inputs

Post by phoenix3d »

Hi James.

Please if you could assist me here.

running IO-Box on a MS3 setup.

How would I use the IO-Box to read 2 Narrowband (Bosch LSF) post CAT sensors over the CANADC inputs?

We are already using the MS3's O2 input and one of the IO-Box CANADC's for the 2 Wideband sensors Pre-CAT.

At the moment we are using SPartan2 Lambdas for Pre-CAT.

Kindest Regards
Gordon.

The NBO2 sensor puts out a voltage approaching 1v for AFR values < 14.7 (rich), and approaching 0v for AFR values > 14.7 (lean). The curves around the switchpoint are very steep, and can't really be used for actual AFR readings, but I don't think that's what you're after. Since the sensor does generate a voltage signal, you can wire it directly to the IO-Box's ADC pins. This would be enough for logging and monitoring; if you want something to happen according to the AFR, you could set up a ProgOut that switches at 0.6v with a 0.2v hysteresis ( = off at 0.4v ).

Thanks Dontz.

Will give that a try..

But strange thing is I'm reading 2.86v on the lines connected to the Sensors..
swapped over to MS3-Pro O2 input and reads correct there..

Just wish i could find a little more info regarding setting up the calibration of the inputs on the IO-Box. The info on these threads a scattered far and wide, with no info in the IO-Box manual.. as far as I can find.

Maybe just getting Old, Blind and stupid..

Which inputs are you trying to use?
