I'll try this out later. Developing and testing the 4 channel VVT is rather tricky as I don't have an easy means to generate the signals.

I did do some testing and I was getting readings on VVT4 angle.

Hi James, I have reloaded your last code and the chanel 4 vvt not read.
I reload previus code and is all Ok. In the previus code the problem is if the angle read negative. Normaly work.

In all alpha code I have I have a big problem with idle controll (drive fan). The signal out isn't pwm. Not work. I test with oscilloscope. For me is very important. If you can check it I will glad because in 8 july I have a race and the fan is necessary....

Yesterday I have tried the car with vvt. Is all ok, but from 6500rpm to 7500 I have a misfire. Oly map100%. If test with minum throttle not problem.
In datalog is all ok. Afr ok, angle cam ok, pwm seq ok, sinc ok....
I have test <> vvt angle but misfire...
Idea? :?

Is possible skip iniection? or timing?

As I said before I don't think anything changed with PWM idle that should impact you between alpha 9 to alpha 11.
What changed for you from when alpha10 VVT4 didn't work and then alpha10 VVT4 did work ? Are these the posted releases or an intermediate test code I emailed ?
VVT4 ought to be working in alpha11, but there was a bug in alpha10. I sent you a fixed version that is partway between 10 and 11. (Check the date in the TunerStudio header.)

In alpha10 there was the bug. You send me alpha 10 correct and it is ok. Then you send me other alpha10 with correction for controll vvt angle on-off, but this not run input chan 4 vvt.

Have you enabled the VVT error indicators? Is it lighting up for VVT4 ?
The angle error checking looks to be the only change made since the first code I sent.

not remembar the light vvt error.
After race I reload alpha 11 and check

Idea fo upgrade the vvt system.
Is possible change the PID parameter when oil temperature and pressure change?

Hi, I see othe small bug in alpha10
In my car I have One switch for power ms3 and one botton for start engine
If the engine shutoff and I press start botton for restart engine vvt chanell2 not read. If power off ms3 and restart, all vvt read well...

Today I reload the firmware alpha11. VVt4 chanel not read and vvt light is off. I tried with controll"on" and controll "off". I tried with reasing and falling.
I have notate in the test with alpha10 one condiction. The neutral duty is <> from right and left bank. For fine setting I think need select neutre duty for single channel...

I have other IDEA.
When I start the engine I listen the metal rumor because the high pressur oil vvt not load immediately and solenoid work. After one or two second the rumor ending. If possible select a time for start the vvt system?

No changes. We focussed on just the serial changes for Alpha12.

Just tested out VVT cam 4 input on alpha 14. It is working for me using PT4.
This is with "dual wheel with missing tooth" type of wheel though. I don't have the ability to test the BMW decoder.

Happy to report that we got the VVT up and running on alpha 14 with no real worries. I will probably come running for some help with the PID settings though.
Where do I find the details of injector trim other than the dead time adjustments?

I don' t have idea where is the problem. With alpha10a is all ok.
In my configuration I use pt6 for vvt4 and use 6 teeth for intake.
