Re: New MS3 firmware loader
Ok, got my FTDI drivers working, had to download the latest FTDI drivers from their website. Maybe due to my fresh install of Lion, not sure. Once I had those installed and working, the old mac flasher app works again, as well as it ever did. The new one still refuses to work, even when I specify the port manually.

Yes. It's good to have independent verification to confirm a bug. Hopefully it's a simple fix.

Re: New MS3 firmware loader
Updated Windows firmware loader uploaded. Allows COM256 on my PC.
The Mac one will likely take a while as we'll need to do some debugging on a Mac (which I don't have.)

Re: New MS3 firmware loader
I tried the new Mac firmware loader. This time it did see that I had a usbserial port available in /dev/ and made it default. But it still can't talk to the MS3. Hopefully when you get that Mac I sent, it'll allow you to debug in realtime. They said it'd be in England in 6-7 business days, hopefully that means you'll have it in your hands by the end of next week.

Re: New MS3 firmware loader
I have been able to load firmware from that "Mac"
New version http://www.msextra.com/doc/general/file ... r_mac32bit
(This 3.20 version does port probing too.)

Re: New MS3 firmware loader
Double good news. Not only does it work on my MacBook Air under Lion (10.7.4), it's doing it booted up in 64bit mode, so no need to call this a 32bit app, it's both. Just need to note that it's Intel, probably won't run on the older PPC Mac's.
I love the new status bar while it's flashing with the percentage readout. Much better than previous. It seemed to preserve my sensor calibrations, it didn't save my tune. I went with the defaults, just kept hitting enter and it got everything right.
Thanks James!

Re: New MS3 firmware loader
After some work with 'kristian' I believe that the current Mac loader should now work. We've both had it working.
EDIT: Note that the PL2303 driver on my machine is buggy and I wasted a lot of time with that. FT232 (native MS3 USB) appears to work fine.
You can download the latest version from the Downloads page. (Currently version 3.28)
