Muythaibxr, any progress in getting this done? There are quite of few people doing swaps like I did with mine, and as I've done quite a few of these. I keep telling them what a great ecu the ms3 pro is, the autotune kicks @ss, BUT, unfortunately it won't work with a vr sensor in a different position. I have a guy from Calgary at the moment who has a rx8 and is putting a FD engine and wants a single package of using the ffe trigger kit for the fd cover with a 36-2-2-2 but it has the sensor clocked at the 12'o'clock stock position. I have to keep telling them that I'll inform them when you guys come out with a revision. Thanks!

As with any trigger wheel, the sensor position alone doesn't matter. It is only the phasing between the wheel pattern and the sensor that matters.

Honestly, if you want that flexibility now, use the ffe 36-1 kit. It has more teeth, so timing will be more accurate, and it isn't meant specifically for 1 or 2 engines in stock form.
Megasquirt is not for use on pollution controlled vehicles. Any advice I give is for off road use only.

I would have done that to begin with if it was possible! The problem is that on the RX8, power steering, tach gauge, and a couple of other things are controlled by the ecu which needs to read 36-2-2-2 pattern input from the e-shaft.

Adjusting the offset to allow +/-50 deg from standard is _probably_ OK. I know that allowing +360 deg did not work correctly. That's why as Ken mentioned a number of posts ago that we are wary to change it - there might be unexpected side-effects.

Most RX-8 installations are piggybacks due to DBW, EPS and CAN-based gauge cluster.

Hey James, 50degrees would work for my application using a stock FC cover setup with the aftermarket trigger kit, and also a S2 stock setup. It wouldn't work for a FD cover setup with the aftermarket kit-although this doesn't matter to me. When could this possibly be added? I'd like to re-install the trigger kit. It's not that this is being used as a piggyback system, the ms3 is being used as a full standalone, while the rx8's oem is still in there but has nothing connected to it except for getting the crank trigger signal for the hydro-electric power steering to work Reverant απο που εισαι φιλε?

Why don't they make a wheel that matches the front cover it's used on?
