Toyota 1UZ VVTi composite logs and Msqs

Post by 280GE 1JZ »

Hi All,

After days trying to get a clean signal from 1UZ vvti cam angle sensors I managed to get a good clean log that I hope can be used to make a new decoder for this engine. I wired the sensors as:

ECU: MS3Pro
Crank Sensor to CKP+ and CKP-
Left Cam Angle Sensor to DUal VR Board and to CMP+
Right Cam angle Sensor to Dual Vr Board and to Digital Frequency In 2

And For those who have trouble getting signal reading from VR sensor I used a 47kohm resistor inline with VR+ if connected directly to MS. And if you are using Dual VR board I found this schematic and replace 10kohm with 47kohm and really get a good clean signal.

Cheers all,
Doddy

how did you go with getting 1uz vvti going on ms3 pro? I was considering a pro for my 3uz but I was under the impression I was going to need a ms3x?

The MS3-Pro is a super-set of the MS3/MS3X.
