I am using the MS3X Datalog input to log to my SD card at the push of a button but have no way to "mark" a certain point as you would by hitting the SPACEBAR when logging with a laptop connected. Is there possibility to develop a push button style system to do this while SD logging, perhaps by using one of the spare GND inputs on the MS3X DB37 connector? It would be convenient (and much safer) to have a steering wheel mounted button instead of using one hand to tap your SPACEBAR to record specific events during the datalog.
Am I on to something or completely out to lunch?

I like the idea - it would be quite useful if there was a good way to implement it.

Presently to activate a log you have to press and hold, and to stop it's just a quick pressMatt Cramer wrote:I like the idea - it would be quite useful if there was a good way to implement it.
What about press and hold to also stop a log, then a quick press places a mark in the log?
