4B11T 36-2-1 triggerwheel support

Post by kaak »

Hello,

Is it possible to have 4B11T engine 36-2-1 triggerwheel supported? There is related post few years ago from some user: http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewtopic ... hilit=4b11

Best Regards,
Martin

What files must be edited in source code, if i want to add new triggerwheel decoding? (for n00b like me its definately smarter to edit existing and not to add totally new wheel?)

ms3_ign_in
in this file rules must be set for crank wheel gaps and cam tooth location?

ms3_ign_wheel
in this file crank wheel tooth pattern, tooth lenght, trigger location and cam tooth lengths?

Is there more files that should be edited?

I played around and got sync. its not perfectly done but its sync.

3600 degrees cycle
2x triggers
33 tooth

Im using modified spkmode22 (Rover #1)

in rising edge setting tooths are looking normal but even slight RPM changing will cause sync loss.
in falling edge setting tooths are looking freaky (after long gap tooth there is one middle length tooth more), but somehow this makes code stable and no sync losses.

i know that there is way more better coding persons available in this forum (im no coder at all), can someone please join discussion and help me to reach next level with this engine?:
stage 1) stable sync if there is rising edge used (tooths are freaky if falling edge used- look attached freaky tooth log). i suppose that something should be written differently in "ms3_ign_in.c" file
stage 2) full sequential with 4x triggers and code must accept cam tooth "moving" due vvt

i attached some informative data for those who would like to help.

Edit: in attachment i have accidentally mixed naming of SparkA and SparkB occiloscope pics, in next post i posted correct files.

Thanks,
-k

Are the details of the wheel available? The images in the original posts have been pruned.

some progress again (had some local help ).

1) sync with rising edge
2) 7200 degrees cycle and cam sync

but i still some issues that mabye need some external help: trigger tooth settings are not working out, with some settings i can have almost same timing like stock but even slight adjusting makes it to move in some unpredicted direction.

in first attachment there are occilator pictures showing stock ecu working on idle and current MS outputs (due i have 2x probes i had to make different combos)
package2_a.zip
in this attachment there are source files (i hope that i am allowed to share those files in this forum). there is 2jz code edited.
