MS3 pre-1.4 beta 10 released
To announce the release of "MS3 Pre 1.4 beta 10"
ETA on this 1.4.x code becoming release is 3 months.
Who should use this code?
Experienced users wanting to test the new features.
Who should not use this code?
New or casual users - please use the current release code instead - see the Downloads page linked above.
Main changes since pre-1.4 alpha 9
Bug fixes:
Fix fuel table switching, VVT change broke it.
Allow loggers in passthrough (MSG_REQX)
Remove erroneous debug code from VSS.
Fix idle_wait_timer to be accurate to .1sec instead of 1 sec. (Arran's issue)
CAN MSG_REQ, MSG_REQX tweaks per Jean.
'Miata' alternator mode keeps coil off at zero RPM.
Alternator mode has hold-off timer on sync-loss.
New / changed features:
Allow "Loop" to operate inputs.
Read and update sensors in test mode too.
Tweak CANIO testmode UI.
Add simplified "Dash Broadcast" for CAN.
Tweaks to IO-box code.
Update ini for MS3-Pro "Digital In 4" renamed to "Digital Switched In 3" *UI CHANGE*
Extend testmode data to allow more pins to be tested.
Add more pin and CAN outputs to I/O test modes.
Ford Duratec 4cyl VVT cam decoder added.
Swap phase on 4cyl 2JZ VVTi.
A/C input inversion option.
Allow single wheel@cam and VVT. (UNTESTED)
VSS tweaks
Minor / internal:
Cam sensor / MAP sensor UI, tooltip and config error message tweaks.
Grey out and ignore cam input setting in "Single Wheel" mode.
Remove some incomplete features now pushed to 1.5 (engine states, dome)

(A bit of an experiment here, let me know if that format works?)
Be sure to read the README.txt and RELEASE-NOTES.txt that are supplied in the zipfile.
Some of the ini changes will result in harmless warnings when loading MSQs from 1.3.x
Users upgrading from 1.2.x or earlier codes need to pay more attention.
TunerStudio 2.6.x is REQUIRED.

I just loaded on TS, with the default MSQ file and checked the VVT feature. I notice that the Frequency select field is always grey. Is it normal?

Is there a port status for Loop1? Trying to use it as reqfuel switch in my buddys car, but doesn't seem to be working. But in its defense, I was unable to get it working using an output triggering an input either, where using the same I/O's as my car it works just fine
I'll see about testing this code on my car if the weather cooperates
For testing on his Pro, we have a reqfuel of 12.1, and with a setting of alternate reqfuel of up to 20, I'm using loop1 setup as tps and switching the < > while driving with no change around our cruise tps percentage

Never mind. Feel kinda dumb! We ended up key cycling and it's working. We're driving and testing and didn't think it needed it since there was no prompt

Scenario. Driving down the interstate, change alternate reqfuel from digital switched 3 to loop1, then program Loop1 to activate above 135kpa
Nothing worked, so I made it program to tps and used the greater and less than arrows with no change in fueling
Then something happened that we needed a key cycle and when we did, that when the loop1 feature starting working and for his car it was just the ticket
But still looking into this one on my end, during that key cycle change. (Which was a staged injection change and a 3 step likiter change) and we got a knock sensor pin error that would not let the car start from some programable output interfereance. Could not locate issue so we reloaded an earlier tune and all was better. We did have the pin error one more time but haven't had a chance to re trace our steps to see what change is causing the strange knock sensor error

Drove the 2j car to pick up my LS today and loaded .10 yesterday just for this. I programmed Loop1 to take over the aLtreqfuel setup and happy to say all good with 150 miles on it, couple boost pulls with everything in check as before
