idle inital value not folowing rpm scale

Post by nathaninwa »

Doing a little fine tuning today and was lowering the target idle some and free reved in the driveway and experienced a slight under shoot of target, so I raised the initial value on the fully warm row and farthest to the right as Im reving to 2500 or so in the driveway. I noticed nothing changed and saw the rpm ball stuck at the lowest rpm in the table. So I have a log and msq with the 170* row and everything above the 800rpm bin scewed for testing. With pwm guage up on the screen, its always grabbing the 800 rpm bin.

I haven't looked at you info (on phone) but it sounds like it is working ok. The initial value table is the duty to use at the target RPM i.e. 800.

That makes since. I just imagined the table working on a decending scale, meaning if I was above my highest rpm value it would use that and decay to the usable value. But that makes since.

So I guess I can rescale the rpm to match my target idle areas of 1100ish at cold to 750 at warm

Thanks James
