a bit of a simple one realy but i think the code and software would need to be ajusted to make it work but here is the idea
i use programable on/off outputs for control of rev lights.
what i was hopeing for is to have a flashing facility incorperated into an output and even better would be if i could have solid on for lower and flash for higher rpm's.
my understanding is this would need to be coded in and TS user interface ajusted to alow this funtion to operate. im not even sure if the hardware of the chip can do this? at a guess i suspect it might have been done by now if it was?
could anyone share any more information on this and if it would be possible how i could request it be added into future firmwares and software?
is pulce of output possible for rev light?

Build a strobe circuit into the light?
(different rates for different inputs) Easy.
Code is probably easily doable as well, but it would have to be a configurable option as many won't like it.

Always doing things the hard way, MS2 sequential w/ v1.01 mainboard, LS2 coils. 80 mile/day commuter status.

There may be method to combine a variable frequency output from generic pwm and the shift light using the new 'loop' feature in the pre-1.4 firmware.

Every "sequential" setup I have seen along these lines is backwards from your description. They blink lower then go solid for higher. This is easily accomplished in hardware. Use two outputs, one to the lower blinky, and one to a higher solid. And I bet you can find one LED that with three legs that works this way. I use sequential shift lights with three outputs. Low turns on green LEDs hidden in tach. Middle turns on yellow also and a pulsing beeper. Then high adds red LEDs and the beeper goes solid. All done on the hardware side, and done easily too.baz-r wrote:i use programable on/off outputs for control of rev lights.

In MSnSe, there was a sequential option. It was just two outputs and a diode array to control three sets of lights. Problem was the original circuit posted up didn't work right. It needed another diode to prevent back bleed. Once that was sorted, it worked a treat. But that fix I don't think ever got documented in the manuals. MS3 could likely be user configured with two outputs to work, but there are enough I/O available that I never tried....

Since Im using a jbperf IOx CAN board, I used a generic pwm output on iox, with a 6hz frequency and I managed to get that.
