couple of code requests

Post by turbo355 »

Can we please add a N2O hold function for the timed tables , so if you let off the TPS it will hold the last duty cycle and return where it was?

And also we need to have the sequential shift cut to be in 100s of a ms if we can?

So far we are going 6.94 at 210mph on these bikes and having a little finer adjustment on the kill would help on the gear cuts.

Just sticking my oar in - do you want "100s of ms", or "100THs of ms"? The current code allows 0.01s (10ms); going to 0.1s (100 ms) makes no sense, and going to 0.00001s (1/100th of a ms) is a bit more than "a little finer adjustment"!

I agree we are in a desperate need for a nitrous hold or resume feature! It sucks when making a pass and you have to lift or hit rev-limit and the nitrous completely resets to your starting point! Other systems have a nitrous hold or resume feature. We should have this feature too! It will offer a great deal of adjustability to MS for nitrous users!

Yes in 100ths of a ms is what i we need!

10 microsecond steps isn't going to happen I'm afraid. Changing the setting to 1ms steps is possible, but the result will be limited by the mainloop time. You'll likely get a precision of maybe 5ms.

10 microseconds is less than 1 degree of engine rotation at 12 000 RPM. An engine cut will only have an effect on a per ignition event basis. A resolution of 1ms should be enough unless you're thinking of controlling a 12-cylinder engine at more than 10 000 RPM or fewer cylinders at proportionally higher RPM.

Sometimes it can take a while to determine how much work it would be to add a suggested feature.

Thank you for the response! I had to ask that question for the sole reason that it has happen to me before about the same subject! Now how can I help! I will do all I can to make this happen. Now I don't have to get the disappointing looks from a customer. I get asked about this often. Now I have something positive to tell them!

That will probably work James,a little more precision will help!

The Nitrous hold or resume would help alot also with the Nitrous bikes and cars we tune!

We've seen several requests for being able to interrupt the nitrous too.

I am on pins and needles. I can't wait to test the new code when it is available!

The pins are prickly but still waiting. I hope something is possible.
