VSS based launch and the 3 step

I went drag racing yesterday and implemented the vss launch feature What I ran into was while on the 3 step doing the burn out everything was fine, when I released the button to power out of the box the vss launch feature became active and I bounced off the revlimiter

Can something be added to lockout the vss launch or anyother traction device till vss1 and vss2 either match each other or some other parameter is met like tps less than X percent?

I was able to trick this tonight by putting a 6000 limit up to 20mph then cut it back down to 4200 just after that, but having the speed based launch ignored during a burnout would be a smooth idea
