Is It in the plans to control a turbo with a stepper motor?

I offer a PWM to Stepper controller that will use the PWM boost control signal to drive a 4- or 6-wire stepper motor. I have to ask, though, how does that work? Is it like an idle valve, with the pintle opening and closing to control the boost?

I think he may be referring to a variable geometry turbo having the vanes controlled by the stepper motor.

If not disregard.

There are also vehicles out there with electronically controlled waste gates. Hyundai Genesis coupe with a 2.0T for sure and I imagine there are others.
