CL idle status

Post by AbatelliCristian »

With new method for active CL idle (only RPMdot), in some engines, is difficult stabilize the idle speed.
I Prefer "RPM min" for enble or disable CL idle. Is possible insert the selection for method?

On MS3 we switched to engine states in 1.5 which negates the need for most of the activation settings and works quite a bit better.
Megasquirt is not for use on pollution controlled vehicles. Any advice I give is for off road use only.

Hi Ken,
thanks for repaly.

I have tried alpha 1,5, but for me (my opinion), the system is difficult. The engine "race" with lightweight flywheel, RPMdot have fast fluctuates.
If I use large value RPMdot for enable CDidle, pid is activated too early and PWMdutyIdle decrese value and the engine shutoff.

The other guys are fine with the new system?

Best Regards

Yes. I have had nothing but good feedback on it. Mainly because idle is locked out based on more than just RPMdot.
