Refined traction control reaction

Post by nathaninwa »

No definitive data on this, just something I think about each time I work on traction control. Is there a way to implement a percent slip based on speed? If I use 10% then at 50mph where peak tq might spin it will react at 5mph. But that same 10% at 150 where I try to ramp more power in is 15mph difference.

But from tire growth and odd things I need to run a base of 20% slip. I can feel the wheel slip on the big end from the car starting to head to the right and then it wiggles on the sidewalls

Not saying this is the fix for that, but having traction control work sooner might keep the car under control on both ends of the track

:msq:

Do you have 4 wheel speed sensors?

I assume that at this power level, you have the ability to carry both front tires.
