Needing torque control

Looking to be able to cut power during shift, such as retarding timing at the shift point and it must be able to be ramped back in, not just a cut and then back on.

It is quite often used in race cars with dog box transmissions. A full spark cut is a little bit hard on the transmission. It should be simple to add spark retard in the firmware to sequential shift cut setting.

Would also like Torque Control for driveline target speed. I am going to switch ECU's if this can't be available in the next month or so.

Although I agree all the "bones" to implement this as a feature are already in place (and it could be easy/useful), there is a bit of a workaround available to do this if you wanted/needed it in the meantime.
The "on/off" based knock control could be used to do this. It could either be tied directly to a physical input, or a software loop. All the required retard and recovery timers and tuning parameters you would need are already there. Not saying a simple "retard to" and "recovery time" tied to either flatshfit or sequential shift cut would not be a better way to accomplish this, simply explaining how the same thing can be accomplished via existing features in the mean time.

I need this too.
Could I switch ignition maps during a shift? That way i could have a variable "ignition retard" based on load. would that work?

DBW would make torque command/control very very effective.

I don't think most people understand how complex torque control is. It's not something "you can add". The ECU needs to be built from scratch around torque control and yes, DBW is almost mandatory for proper torque control.

Why not put lower advance numbers in the timing table at the high (shift) rpms where the engine sees less loads?
Or a timing table switch which is activated by the clutch or a transmission pressure sender?
Or does one need the timing change right before the shift starts?
Just spawning some ideas here, but I get if it was that easy if wouldn't have been a needed feature.

Timing needs to be pulled as it starts to shift and ramp back in as it completes the shift. And different amounts for different gears

it could be nice to have this function implemented. I have an autogearbox that is too hard on shifts, also sometimes when changing from 2 to 3 gear it wheelspins if turbo is loaded. If i could de-torque when shifting could be much nicer to drive. My TCU controller for 722.6 gearbox can give me an output when shifting.
Tried ignition cut on changes, but it's excessive.
I would like to see a new option that could enable configuration like:
- ignition retard - x degrees
- Boost cut, set boost control to 0%
In ms2 when needing special functions i modded the firmware and tunerstudio profile, but for ms3 i don't see last firmware source code, only 1.4.x
