Boost Control Settings, 250Hz possible?
Hello together,
I have a concern, I would like to operate an electric WG controller, this requires 250Hz.
I use an MS3 with the current firmware, in the Boost Control Settings I can only select "mid" "... 153Hz, 204Hz, 306Hz ...".
In the "Generic PWM Output" I can select 250Hz, so runs the controller. "Only" the map is smaller in the "Generic PWM output" and I can´t drive a CL control.
Does anyone have an idea how I get the problem solved?

Re: Boost Control Settings, 250Hz possible?
Hello again,
Now the Engine runs, but the Porsche VTG Turbo needs 250Hz... It would by nice if can usw the boost table to use Closed Loop with the 250Hz
At worst case I must take an Arduino to confert 306Hz to 250Hz
Edit:
MS3 1.5.0 release
TS Ultra V3.0.28

is this a solenoid you are trying to control, or an electric motor style actuator?

Re: Boost Control Settings, 250Hz possible?
it is an Siemens E-Actuator (Original Porsche 997 Turbo)
If it is not possbile, i will take an Arduino to make 1021Hz to 255Hz

Have you tried 204 or 306? I have seen most devices work fine over a range of control frequencies.
Re: Boost Control Settings, 250Hz possible?
Hello Paul,
it only works at 243Hz-257Hz
Why it is possible to select 250Hz in the "generic PWM " and not in the Boost seetings?

Re: Boost Control Settings, 250Hz possible?
Boost control is using hardware PWM which has a fixed set of frequencies depending on the dividers used. The list in MS3 isn't all of the possible frequencies though.Turbolu wrote:Why it is possible to select 250Hz in the "generic PWM " and not in the Boost seetings?
The generic PWM is using software PWM and can use a wider range but typically slower and less precise frequencies.

Re: Boost Control Settings, 250Hz possible?
James,
Can you help me ti fix the problem with 250Hz in the boost Control?
I don't like to use an Arduino, but i like to use my Porsche VTG turbo on my Golf 16v engine and have a good boost control

Hi,
now it runs
I took in the "Generic PWM B" for the Y Axis "Boost duty" and the "Boost control settings" I choose a "blind" output.
