Hi guys,
I have question.
In drag race FWD the shift light rpm based is useless, because the engine, for half time, is near revlimiter or in revlimiter for tire slippage.
My idea is shiftlight based VSS. 4 or 5 breakpoint where lighit is on for 1 second.
ES.
VSS = 80kmh Light on for 1 sec
VSS = 140kmh light on for 1 sec
VSS = 190kmh light on for 1 sec
.....
obviously the vss sensor will be in the rear wheels
Regards
Cristian

Re: shift light VSS based
Could you use a pwm output based on vehicle speed?
Instead of on for “1sec” have the duty cycle be 100% from 80km/h-85km/h or so. It’ll tak3 you a second or less to get there depending on your acceleration rate. That could also give you a pre-shift pulse of light just before it goes solid, if you wanted.

Re: shift light VSS based
mmmm with generic pwm there are few breakpoint....
I can use loop in the programmable output on-off.
