Switched Inputs

Post by ugp »

Am I just being silly here, or do the switched inputs not work without the motor running? I've tried grounding dlog, launch and tablesw, but no indication of it doing anything in tunerstudio. Ive checked the js9 bridge is in place. Also, the nitrous in (12v) does nothing either, again, J8 removed.

I'm trying to finish a loom on the bench and it's making testing pretty darn awkward. Also, just checking, any ground should work? I've currently got it grounding on one of the bottom plug black grounds, but have tried the 5v signal ground (shared from clt etc too).

Driving me a little insane here!

How are you determining if they are working and what firmware version?

(They work ok for me in the latest pre-1.4 alpha with zero RPM.)

That's what I'm trying to work out - I enabled launch control, and have an indicator light on the standard dash set to launch on (in theory illuminating when the switch is grounded)?

Can you just confirm exactly where they should ground to? The manual states sensor ground on main plug, but some posts on here state any ground will do?

The link / vipec's I usually setup will run straight to ground via a PTM / PTB switch and light up sufficiently in the software.

As for the nitrous in, there's no way of actually seeing it's enabled that I could see?

I'm running the latest alpha release.

That isn't what "Launch ON" means. See the manual http://www.msextra.com/doc/pdf/html/Meg ... 3-291.html

Ok, so when I tried it on launch in too, that didn't change either? Is there an easy way to test if these inputs are working without the loom being in the car?

if you turn on PORT_STATUS in your project you can set an indicator for the input and see it working. PTH6 is table switch & PORTK2 is launch in.
