Hello community,
We intend to record vehicle speed using a hall sensor on PT4.
As PT4 expects 5v signal, we need to feed the hall sensor with 5 volts...
Our question is: where can we get a 5v supply on the megasquirt MS3X ?
In the "MS3XV30_Hardware-1.4.pdf" guide page 17->20, it seems that TPSVREF is the only 5v supply.
May we use it for the VSS ? (Knowing the fact that we already use it for the engine tps)
Many thanks in advance for your help,
Pierre

Re: 5v supply for vss on MS3 X
yeah can be used for any sensors that require a 5v feed

Thank you !grom_e30 wrote:yeah can be used for any sensors that require a 5v feed
May we use it directly, or do we have to add a resistor ?

if its just the power for the sensor you can wire it direct to the 5v. depending on the hall sensor type you may also need a pull up resistor.
